How to Make a Bow and Arrow Out of Household Items

Supplies:

Curved or angled wood-1 inch thick, 1-2' long
Big rubber band
Good knife
Wood saw
Duct tape

First, whittle the bark off of the wood. Second, cut the ends of the stick off to make a clean cut. Next, cut a notch in the ends of the stick 1/2" deep. Fourth, cut the rubber band in half and insert 1 end into 1 of the notches, overlapping about 1 inch.
Next, duct tape the overlapping part to the stick. Repeat steps 4 and 5--do not cut rubber band again! Make sure the rubber band is taught, but not too taught.

To make the arrow, find a straight stick about 6" long and 1/2" wide. Whittle the bark off and make a point at one end. Make a clean cut at the other end and put a 1/4" deep notch in it.

To shoot the bow, fit the arrow's notch in the rubber band, pull back, and release. Shoots about 15-40 feet.(depends on the wind)
